Day 13: LACK OF UPDATES

Heya guys, Sock here FINALLY with another update!  Day 13!  And I haven't written anything since day 2.  Why, you may ask?  LACK OF MOTIVATION.  I've had the exact opposite of motivation...  It all started on the 3rd...I think, anyway...Either the 3rd or 4th.  I was blamed for an RP being so-called "Dragged down".  I got the complete blame.  And in PMs, I was basically called a bad author.  News flash, idiot.  RPS.  ARE NOT.  SUPPOSED.  TO BE.  COMPLETELY.  DETAILED.  LIKE.  A.  BOOK.  It's an incomplete story coming to life bit by bit, small post by small post.  Anyone who thinks otherwise knows NOTHING, and calling someone a bad author in that way, that's just really low.  And I had this stupidity thrown at me the day after someone else was saying some very upsetting things.  I just got really demotivated from both of those.  And I know that a rant like this should probably be on the other blog, but I'm sorry, I just really need to get out why I'm not all motivated to do any writing.  And now I've had to leave some threads because people keep barging in.  Why I get upset at them enough to leave that thread?  It's because I always feel that it's always in this nice rhythm with threads, then someone barges in, which breaks that rhythm, and that broken rhythm gets me upset.  No one on the forums seems to understand that.  Yeah, in general, been through a lot, so I've had zero motivation to write, which has left me far behind.  And I am a NaNo Rebel.  Why?  I switched stories.  I'm going to be fair, though, and leave the wordcount of my previous story as the one there until this story gets it's wordcount past the other one, because I saw it as cheating to add my wordcount of this one to the current wordcount.  And I've had to reduce my wordcount goal.  I was already far too behind from my lack of motivation dragging me down, so I had to bring it down to 6,000.  Alright, with a huge rant and explaining that I reduced my wordcount and that I'm a NaNo rebel done, let's get into what I've written of this.

"I am Narina. Last names don't really matter much to me. Seriously? Whatever. Last name is Cartina. Yes, very interesting... Anyway, yes...I am different. I am the one born with the gift... Okay...wait, what are you doing with that? I'm pretty sure you should put that awa-GAH!" The girl went on, but her explaining is halted when it seems whoever was questioning her had pulled out a blade. But perhaps, this should start from the beginning, shall it? Yes, that will make things much easier to process...

Narina awoke with a start, having another nightmare. She looked as though a ghost was after her, too. She shook it off as just a stupid nightmare, and nothing to be afraid of. Narina was an Elven girl of fifteen years old, in the magical land of Solari. It was one of those places where many dream to be, but end up regretting those dreams when everything is not as it seems. But that isn't the main focus of everything, is it? No, not at all. The young Elf was one of the many Elves of Solari learning the art of magic, and archery. Both archery and magic are good, but the two make an amazing combination that can devastate foes. Narina actually seemed to be injured, because of her being involved in defending the academy from the very hostile dwarves from an island a fair distance away the previous day.
"Hello, Nari. Feeling any better yet?"
"Still not feeling too great, but I'm feeling much better then I was yesterday..." Nari muttered in reply, feeling like she could collapse any moment.
"Good. Everyone's at the archery targets."
"Thanks." Nari nodded, and walked through the woods into the vast archery range.
"Remember, you still need to know how to use a sword. In a real situation, if you tried to use your bow while someone was this close, you would probably be impaled with their sword before you could even release the bowstring. Oh! Miss Narina. I thought you still needed to recover."
"Sara said I had recovered enough to come back, I just shouldn't strain myself too much." Nari shrugged.
"Very well. Since you seem to feel to be in a fit enough condition, and the fact that Miss Sara said so herself..."

Yep, really bad, but still, quantity over quality.  And I can edit it later.  :P

Okay!  That's it for today's lengthy update...  And I may have went out of hand with the rant, just reeealllly needed to vent that out.  Not healthy to keep that bottled up inside.  Anyway, cya!

NaNoWriMo Daily Update: Day 1

Heya guys, Sock here!  Yes, this blog's finally active again.  Like I said on my main blog, I'm mainly going to be on here throughout November.  Once I reach my daily WCG(Word Count Goal) I'll post here with what I wrote, and how far I am from reaching 30,000 words!  I've done pretty good so far, here's what I wrote.

A young boy, looking to be around the age of thirteen, was on the verge of death, many gashes covering his body and bleeding profusely. His worst wound, however, appeared to be a very deep stab wound in the stomach. His friends were dead, too. Everyone he cared about, dead. All because of one item...Where did everything go so wrong? Maybe answers to that were hidden in the past, which he remembered like it was yesterday... It was a normal day in Skyview Village, a quiet little place in the forest...The boy was oversleeping, as usual. He was a very sleepy one. But he awoke to the sound of his best friend, Alara.

"Link! Link, wake up!" The girl, appearing to be around the same age as Link, called to him.

"Alright, I'm up! Just please let me change clothes.." Link muttered, changing from his pajamas to his green tunic he had gotten for his eleventh birthday, and loved to wear ever since. He climbed down the ladder, and smiled at his friend. "Heya." He blushed. The boy had a crush on this girl.
"You know what day it is?" Alara asked.

"Umm...No, what day?" Link asked, confused.

"It's your thirteenth birthday, silly!" The girl exclaimed.

"Can't believe I forgot again..." Link sighed.

"Don't get down on yourself, Link! We all make mistakes." She smiled. "Um, I forgot, wait here for a bit, I need to do something." The girl realized, then headed off. Link watched her walk off, and he headed back into his treehouse. He played around a bit, getting bored quickly, when he heard a rustling, and then something climbing the ladder! It turned out to be a group of Bokoblins, and they were heading for Link's ocarina, the only family heirloom left after events a long time ago.. But those didn't matter at the moment, what mattered was that he was about to lose it if he didn't stop them!

"Hey, stop that!" Link growled, but that was the moment he realized he didn't have a weapon of any sort. The beasts quickly struck with their swords, leaving some gashes and cuts, a fairly deep stab wound in his stomach, and some deep cuts around his chest. It was a wonder he was still alive in this condition, but of course it wasn't the wounds he faced later on. The boy was knocked unconscious, barely breathing, and in a pool of his own blood.

Alara was walking back to Link's house. Not seeing him, she assumed he was just in his house. "Link! Link!" She called, with no reply. After waiting for a few minutes, she climbed up the ladder to get to the bottom of this, and once she entered, the girl saw the broken and beaten Link. "Link! Oh gosh..." She exclaimed. Alara put an ear up to Link's chest. The boy was still breathing, just barely, and she was able to hear a faint heartbeat, so Link was still alive, but Alara wasn't sure how long it would stay that way. She needed to get help, and fast. The teenage girl ran out of Link's house, and into the main village area. "Everyone, Link's hurt! Really badly." She yelled. The entire village seemed alarmed by hearing that Link was injured, and dashed to his house. Many left after a few moments, leaving only unconscious Link, the healers in the village, and Alara.

"Will he be okay?" She asked, concerned.

"We can't say for sure, dear, but we're trying our best to make sure he's okay. Just please be patient." One of them answered.
About five hours later, when the healers did all they could, and it was only a matter of time. Many villagers were at his bed where he was set down, hoping Link was ok6ay. Finally, he stirred, his first ever movement during this catastrophe. The boy blinked awake, looking around him. He still felt terrible pain-wise, and he was very lightheaded from blood loss. He got startled when he noticed the people around him.

"Oh, hi everyone.." The boy muttered weakly. The group seemed very happy. But one of the healers came in.

"Excuse me, everyone. Is Link awake?" The kind old lady asked.

"Yep, he's awake, just trying to take in what happened." Alara answered.

"Very good. Okay, I'd like to ask him a few things." The lady nodded, walking to Link's bed. "Hello, Link. Feeling better, I imagine?" She asked.

"Not too good. I'm lightheaded, and I feel like every horse in Hyrule ran me over ten times..." Link replied, managing to sit up.

"Lightheadedness. Understandable with how much blood you lost." The healer wrote something down.
"Can you tell us exactly what happened Link, if you are comfortable with talking about it, anyway."

"Okay. Well, I was waiting in here, then these monsters showed up and took my ocarina, and when I tried to stop them, of course they started hitting me with their swords..." Link explained.

"Took your ocarina...Wait, that explains why it's gone!" Alara realized.

There we go!  That's what I have so far, and I'm on the right track for 30,000!
